Lost Work

I’m very conscious that much of the landscape writing that I've read is from a male perspective and references other male writers and artists. I’m keen to learn about how other women, from different backgrounds react or feel within the more remote landscapes, the wilderness. It could well be that men and women engage in similar ways to the extent that any individual has something in common.

I've lived in the NW of the Scottish Highands for fifteen years now. It's overwhelming at times. I suppose I'm reading in the hope of learning from others how to make sense of something that is so fleeting in reality. The changing weather, the developing landscapes, the elements.

Three small pieces, pigment, charcoal, pencil and acrylic.
