Developing an interest in speech as a percussive sound with rhythmical qualities, I worked with a tabla player to develop a piece using the spoken bol, tabla and wind/string instruments.
Performed as a piece for three spoken parts, tabla, two flutes, two violins, viola, cello, and bass.
